By this time next year, your life could be very different, because in as little as seven months, you can complete the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) program at ETI.

You’ll get hands-on experience with industry-current equipment in our giant 15,000+ sq. ft. lab as you learn the skills employers want. Under the guidance of our skilled instructors, you’ll fabricate sheet metal, bend conduits, run gas pipes, troubleshoot refrigeration systems and perform diagnostics, as you learn everything you need to know to install, maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment.
Upon graduation, you can test for EPA Section 608 Universal Certification and R-410-A, as well as other certifications.

What you need to know about EPA and GWP.

EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and GWP (Global Warming Potential) are regulations related to the use of refrigerants in HVAC systems. The EPA requires technicians to be certified under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act. Beginning in 2025, the EPA began implementing regulations to limit the use of high-GWP refrigerants in new HVAC systems and encouraging the adoption of lower-GWP alternatives.
