Our Skilled Welding Program uses hands-on learning and job-site simulations to help you master the skills employers are looking for.
Under the watchful eyes of our expert instructors, you’ll use industry-current equipment in our massive learning lab as you learn the basics and more advanced techniques of welding, cutting and brazing.
Graduates test for SMAW, GMAW, GTAW and Oxy Fuel Cutting. Additional certifications are also available.

Earn scholarships – and bragging rights. Annual Welding Competitions
ETI holds annual welding competitions for both live and virtual welding. With categories for high school students and adult competitors, every participant receives a scholarship for participation, with first place winning the biggest prize.
Oxyacetylene welding, also known as gas welding, is a process using oxygen and acetylene combustion.
When using a hand-held torch or blowpipe, it produces a flame with a temperature of around 3200 degrees Celsius. Watch these videos for information on oxy fuel welding from one of our expert instructors.
In ETI’s Skilled Welding Program, you can get hands-on experience in this type of welding, among others, in our 13,000 sq. ft welding lab. Discover how we can help you start or advance your welding career.

The material content of the Skilled Welder Program will provide each student with the opportunity to learn and develop skills and confidence in several cutting and welding process disciplines.
He or she will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of both equipment and process requirements when seeking employment in the related field. The demonstration of knowledge and confidence will make the student a more marketable candidate for a company’s labor need.
